Bassmaster Tournament Coming To Lake St. Clare

Mt. Clemens, MI - Macomb County will once again play host to a major fishing tournament this summer, welcoming the Bassmaster Elite Series Tournament to Lake St. Clair Thursday, July 27 through Sunday, July 30.

The international event is invitation only for qualified individuals. It will feature 102 Elite Series anglers who will compete for a purse of over $771,000.

“Lake St. Clair is an incredible fishery,” said Eric Lopez, director of event operations, Bassmaster. “In fact, it ranked in the Top 10 (#7) on Bassmaster Magazine’s 2023 100 Best Bass Lakes list. There are so many options for our anglers, which makes for a more exciting tournament.”

“Our community is thrilled to welcome Bassmaster back to our waterways,” said County Executive Mark Hackel. “Residents of this area know that Lake St. Clair is a world-class fishery, and having this tournament here proves that to the rest of the region and the country. I’d like to wish all the visiting anglers well and I look forward to another successful tournament here in Macomb County.”

Competition days are scheduled for July 27-30 with daily takeoffs set for 7 a.m. ET at Brandenburg Park. Anglers will return for weigh-in starting at 3 p.m. Interested individuals are invited to visit the shoreline and fishing pier at Brandenburg Park to view the exciting event.

“Macomb County is always incredibly welcoming and gracious when the Bassmaster Elite Series comes to town,” said Lopez. “Previous events have seen huge crowds, and even when we were here in 2020, passionate fishing fans came out by boat and kayak to watch weigh-ins from the water in a responsible, socially-distanced manner.”

Bassmaster LIVE coverage begins Thursday and Friday mornings at 8 a.m. ET on Bassmaster.com, Tubi and the FOX Sports platforms while FS1 will broadcast live with the tournament leaders beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
