Lansing, MI - Every month, AARP offers quality programs and events that are free and open to the public, both online and in person.

  • Learn a Latte: Winter Safety Tips
    Stay safe by preparing for winter storms and cold temperatures. In this episode of Learn a Latte, we’ll share safety tips for inside and outside the home, including the use of space heaters, walking on ice, road safety and more. 

  • Suicide Prevention Training
    Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is a gatekeeper training designed to teach participants how to identify and assist people in suicidal crisis. Learn about causes, warning signs and how to get help. Space is limited so register early.

  • Working Virtually from Home – Is It for You?
    Virtual employment opportunities are more common than ever, but is it a good fit for you? HR professionals will share strategies, items you’ll need to work from home and interview tips to help you get the virtual job of your dreams.

  • Learn a Latte: Blood 101
    How much do you know about blood? We’ll explore the different components of blood, who benefits from donations and how it saves lives, donor qualifications (they’ve changed) and why your blood type might be the most needed blood around.

  • AARP Disrupt Aging Book Club
    Join the Disrupt Aging Book Club in 2023 to discuss the lighter side of life and topics related to aging. Come for the great conversation and leave with new friends. The January book is Lucy by the Sea by Elizabeth Strout.
