New Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing Site in Macomb County

Mt. Clemens, MI - The Macomb County Health Department has announced that it will be providing COVID-19 drive-through testing for all Macomb County residents.

Testing will be available on weekdays from 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. beginning the week of June 8. The presence of symptoms related to COVID-19 are not required for a person to be tested.

“Testing remains critical to our efforts to continue to slow the spread of COVID-19,” said Macomb County Health Department director/health officer William Ridella. “We encourage everyone to get tested.”

Testing is by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling the Health Department’s COVID-19 Helpline at 586-463-3750, 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday-Friday. There is no cost for testing, and a prescription is not required. As part of the testing process, people must remain in their vehicles from the time they arrive until they depart.

The drive-through test site is located in the parking lot of the former Macomb County Juvenile Court Building located at 380 Rose St., Mount Clemens, MI 48043. A map is available here.

The COVID-19 test being used is a simple process that involves a gentle swipe of each nostril.
