Monroe, MI - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will complete bridge demolition on Newport Road over I-75 in Monroe County, requiring crews to close I-75 over the weekend.
This work is part of a $29 million investment to rebuild the Newport Road bridge over I-75, with the addition of roundabouts and new interchange ramps.

Traffic restrictions:
Drivers should expect lane closures beginning at 7 p.m. with I-75 completely closed from South Huron River Drive to I-275 by 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. Crews intend to reopen I-75 by 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7.
Traffic will be detoured via I-275, I-94, and M-39. All entrance ramps between the project limits will also be closed during demolition work.
