Redford Twp., MI - Lane closures on US-24 (Telegraph Road) north of I-96 in Wayne County will begin Monday, May 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. for wrap-up work. The project is expected to end late May 2020.
Last fall, the Michigan Department of Transportation began this $1.8 million project to perform bridge repairs on US-24 (Telegraph Road) over the Tarabusi Creek between I-96 and 5 Mile Road/Fenkell Avenue. Work has included removing and replacing support beams, patching the driving surface, and other repairs.
This work will extend the life of the bridge, improve the safety of the roadway and ensure long-term use.
This road construction project is an essential function. Transportation workers in the field follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines to limit their risk of getting sick.
