Lane Closures To Begin On Telegraph Road North Of I-96

Redford Twp., MI - Lane closures on US-24 (Telegraph Road) north of I-96 in Wayne County will begin Monday, May 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. for wrap-up work. The project is expected to end late May 2020.

PROJECT DETAILS:
Last fall, the Michigan Department of Transportation began this $1.8 million project to perform bridge repairs on US-24 (Telegraph Road) over the Tarabusi Creek between I-96 and 5 Mile Road/Fenkell Avenue. Work has included removing and replacing support beams, patching the driving surface, and other repairs.

SAFETY BENEFIT:
This work will extend the life of the bridge, improve the safety of the roadway and ensure long-term use.

ESSENTIAL WORK:
This road construction project is an essential function. Transportation workers in the field follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines to limit their risk of getting sick.
