Plymouth Township, MI - The two easternmost bridges along Hines Drive re-opened on Monday, June 10th. Support beams have been properly installed for the bridge located ¼ mile east of I-275 and the bridge located ¼ mile west of Haggerty Road just east of Woods Drive.
Proceeds from the Phoenix Mill sale supported this improvement.
The bridges, along with two other Hines Drive have been closed for almost a year after routine inspection. Barricades will now shift to keep the other Hines Drive bridges (one bridge between Woods Drive and Riverside Drive and the second bridge between Northville Road and N. Mill Street) closed to traffic. The closure will allow access to the athletic field east of Woods Drive but will not allow through traffic past the fields. The last two bridges are scheduled to re-open by the end of July.
Motorists who frequently travel the bridge are advised to plan for extra travel time and be aware of the detours. Information signs are posted to alert motorists of bridge closure information.
