  • Learn a Latte: Making New Friends as We Age (online)

  • Ethel’s Place (In-person/Lansing)
    At Ethel’s Place, on the first Thursday of every month persons living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment come together with friends and family for a celebration of connection, fun, music and light refreshments.

 

  • Taste of AARP in the U.P. (in person/Escanaba)
    Join AARP MI’s team to learn about the AARP legislative priorities, how to volunteer and more! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beverages and an art exhibition of Native American women artists.

  • HomeFit (In-person/Lansing)
    Learn how to navigate your living spaces and make your home more easily accessible as you age in place!

 

  • Driver Safety (in person/Detroit)
    Learn helpful driving strategies. Participating in this two-day class may qualify you for a multiyear discount on auto insurance. AARP members save 20% on the cost of the course.

 

  • AARP Disrupt Aging Book Club (online)
    Join the Disrupt Aging Book Club in 2023 as we discuss the lighter side of life and topics related to aging. The July book is The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria C. Murray.

 

  • AARP Night at the Whitecaps (in person/West Michigan)
    Join AARP Michigan to cheer on the West Michigan Whitecaps when they take on the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Discounted tickets can be purchased by AARP members and their guests for $13 for regular seats or $15 for box seats. Arrive early at 5:00 pm for face painting and inflatable fun for the kids.
