Metro Detroiters Urged To Participate In Healing Memorial Soon

Detroit, MI - The deadline for residents across the region to participate in The Healing Memorial is Friday, August 20. Don’t miss an opportunity to contribute to an arts installation designed to help heal as the pandemic continues.

Anyone interested in participating is urged to visit a making station, host a making station or make a healing pouch at home. To get instructions, visit https://detroitriverfront.org/thehealingmemorial

Attend one of the public making stations on:

August 14 from 1-3 p.m.
Pages Detroit Bookshop, 19560 Grand River Avenue

August 14 from 2-8 p.m.
Sidewalk Detroit Festival (Jefferson Chalmers), 259 Manistique Street

August 14 from 4-7 p.m.
Dennis Archer Greenway Celebration
The Dennis Archer Greenway is on Joseph Campau, north of Jefferson. The making station is at the greenway and Lafayette Blvd.

If you make a pouch at home, mail your pouch (postmarked by August 20) to:

Drop off your pouch by August 20

Drop your pouch off at the DRFC Ambassador Carts at:
  • Cullen Plaza, 1340 E. Atwater, Detroit, MI 48207. The DRFC Ambassador Cart is a blue cart located near the restrooms at Cullen Plaza.
  • Valade Park, 2670 E. Atwater, Detroit, MI 48207. The DRFC Ambassador Cart is located inside the shed at Valade Park.
