Clinton Twp., MI - Michigan State University Extension is offering a variety of free online health programs this fall. Participants can join live group classes with a device using Zoom. Registration for each class is limited.

- Chronic Pain PATH
Chronic Pain PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) is a six-week, online program designed for adults living with chronic pain and their caregivers. Participants learn self-management strategies to manage chronic pain including planning and pacing activities; developing a healthy eating and exercise plan; dealing with difficult emotions; setting personal goals; and more. Chronic Pain PATH will meet on Tuesdays beginning September 8 through October 13 from 1:30-3:30 pm and 7-9 pm on Zoom. Please plan to attend all six weeks to experience the benefits of the workshop. - Diabetes PATH
Diabetes PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) is a six-week, online program designed for people living with prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes. Family members, friends and caregivers are also welcome. Participants learn self-management strategies to prevent diabetes symptoms and hyper/hypoglycemia; develop a healthy eating and exercise plan; deal with difficult emotions; set personal goals; and use a variety of other self-management tools to manage diabetes. Diabetes PATH will meet Thursdays beginning September 17 through October 22 from 2-4 pm on Zoom. Please plan to attend all six weeks to experience the benefits of the workshop. - Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention
Tai Chi is a gentle exercise combining slow movement, deep breathing, and focused intention and improves strength, balance, and relaxation. The Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention program introduces 12 introductory tai chi moves over 20 one-hour sessions to improve balance, strength, and relaxation. Participants can learn seated or standing. Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 22 through December 1 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Zoom.
