Dearborn, MI - The schedule for the project on northbound and southbound M-39 (Southfield Freeway) from Pinecrest Drive, south of I-94, to M-153 (Ford Road) has changed to include both construction and maintenance work featuring concrete patching, milling and resurfacing, along with drainage cleaning and barrier wall repairs.
Crews are now expected to be working continuously with one lane open in each direction for drivers most of the time. Whenever possible, crews will pull back and open two lanes in each direction but drivers should anticipate only one lane being open in each direction from now through late summer/early fall. Anticipate long delays and consider alternate routes.

Based on economic modeling, this $15.5 million investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 188 jobs.
