  • Rhythms of Life: Virtual Rhythm Circle (virtual)
    Join percussionist Kevin "Bujo" Jones and AARP Michigan for an interactive virtual rhythm circle class! Experience the powerful benefits of music, including its positive effects on brain health. No experience necessary.

  • StoryCorps Listening OutLoud (virtual)
    Listen in and celebrate recorded personal stories through the StoryCorps OutLoud initiative dedicated to documenting and amplifying stories from the LGBTQ+ community. This free event features voices of hope and resilience while providing insights on the value of mentorship across generations and allies.

  • Ethel’s Place (Lansing)
    At Ethel’s Place, persons living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment come together with friends and family on the first Thursday of every month for a celebration of connection, fun, music and light refreshments.   

  • MI Sisters and Friends Virtual Series: Conversations with Michigan Federal Elected Officials (virtual)
    Join AARP Michigan and Congresswomen Debbie Dingell and Hillary Scholten for a discussion focused on health, wealth, self and other ballot box issues that deeply resonate with women. This is a crucial conversation you won't want to miss! (Event rescheduled from November 3.)
  • Fraud Watch Network (Lansing)
    Have you ever been approached with a fraudulent offer or been a victim of identity theft? This event will arm you with the latest data on fraud trends and provide tips and resources to protect yourself and your family.

  • Discover Tech: Digital Discovery Series – Introduction to Digital Wallets (virtual)
    The digital wallets on our smartphones allow us to go about our daily lives without ever needing to pull out our actual wallets. In this presentation, we’ll review the basic features of the most popular digital wallets: Apple Wallet and Google Wallet and talk about their many uses beyond purchases. We’ll also discuss features and considerations for security and privacy.

  • Let's Get it On: A Moving Motown Experience (virtual)
    Join us from your own living room as we take a trip down Motown Memory Lane with music, movin’ and groovin’ that's good for your body and soul, and some brand new video from the Motown Museum featuring the legendary Motown artist Martha Reeves. Celebrate the greatest music ever made at this virtual dance party and happy hour.
